The Knights of Columbus Chief Solano Council 3585, in solidarity with Holy Spirit Parish, assist our community and those in need by volunteering time and financial resources. Here are a few examples.

December 2020: The Coats for Kids event was a huge success. Many thanks to Grand Knight Ramiro Lopez of Council 15620 for all of the donations. Between donations from all of the Holy Spirit parishioners and coats purchased from the Knights of Columbus, we were able to donate over 100 coats for kids. The coats were donated to the Healthy Start Family Resource Center at Anna Kyle Elementary School, which helps children in need and the homeless. The following is a brief video of the coats for kids presentation to Ana Maria Parra, Community Outreach Liasion, and her staff. Many thanks to all of our participants. Vivat Jesus!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Christmas time seemed to be a great time to assist. District 51 donated $3,000.00 to the First Sergeant’s Council at Travis Air Force Base. The photo below shows the First Sergeant’s Council members receiving the check from Program Chair and Faithful Navigator George Bagley.

Council 3585 at Holy Spirit Parish ran our annual Community event – Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest. The students at Holy Spirit School provided the entries. Program Chair Sabia Montandon worked with the school principal and teacher to coordinate the event. Keeping COVID-19 precautions in mind, Brother Sabia collected the entries so that Council Officers could identify the first and second-place finishers during a Zoom meeting. Using funds from our annual Christmas card sales, we awarded $50 for first place and $25 for second place. Council 3585 showing our Faith in Action. Vivat Jesus!
